The Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) proudly hosted the 50th International Mental Health Nursing Conference (ACMHN 2026) in Tarntanya, Adelaide, on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.

Held over three days, this milestone conference brought together nearly 600 delegates from across the mental health sector to share knowledge, build professional relationships and strengthen collaborative practice.

Under the theme Mental Health Nursing – Celebrating 50 Years of Mental Health Nursing: The Future Is Now, the conference celebrated five decades of the profession while looking ahead to its future. It recognised the specialist skills, expertise and contributions of mental health nurses, and the vital role nurses play in shaping policy, leading services and delivering care across diverse settings.
